Our 2009-2010 season celebrates the birthdays of Felix Mendeslssohn (1809) and
Robert Schumann (1810), and the 30th birthday of the Boston Classical Orchestra.

Highlights

Schumann’s grand Symphony No. 2 and his concerti for ‘cello and for violin
Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 (“Italian”) and two remarkable overtures
Beethoven’s Fourth and Seventh Symphonies;
Mozart’s towering “Jupiter” Symphony
Tchaikovsky’s glorious Violin Concerto

Also scheduled is a path-breaking program including excerpts of Herschel Garfein’s
comic opera, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (based on the classic modern
play by Tom Stoppard).”
